Voice Humanity First began with a simple belief:
People are more than circumstances.
Too often, individuals experiencing hardship are reduced to statistics or stereotypes. We exist to slow down, listen, and honor lived experience without pressure or expectation.

We envision a society where voices that are often overlooked are amplified, and care, advocacy, and community connection are accessible to all who need them.

To empower individuals and communities by centering lived experience and fostering connection with care and intention.
We conduct consent-based interviews with individuals in the Houston community. Our goals are to:
We do not promise services we cannot guarantee.
To ensure clarity and protect all participants:
Clear boundaries protect trust.

Founder
Michael Widenhouse founded Voice Humanity First with a commitment to consent-based storytelling rooted in dignity, transparency, and community care. With a focus on trauma-informed engagement and ethical systems, the organization prioritizes listening, protection, and responsible representation of lived experience in Houston.
The long-term vision for Voice Humanity First is to expand into a structured, community-based organization that provides financial assistance programs, move-in starter kits, employment readiness assistance, homeless outreach initiatives, and strengthens collaboration among Houston-area service providers, all rooted in dignity and accountability.
Voice Humanity First is in the early stages of development, building governance, partnerships, and responsible systems to support sustainable growth.
A formal Board of Directors is currently being established as part of our development process.
